Sick but still smiling!

I've been coming down with something all week, it finally got worse then a sore throat yesterday. It turned into coughing also! Ughhh.
But we had planned to go snowboarding for a long time and I was NOT going to bail on my friends! (Spring snowboarding is so much fun, not to mention that I have all my skiing at Sunshine PAID for till the end of the season! Woot!)

Conditions were FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC yesterday! I was boarding in a thin sport jacket and my ski pants! It was great! There were some guys snowboarding in shorts! lol Everyone was loving it! (and the lift lines were so short, we barely had to wait for anything! :)
It was a full day, we rode from 9:15 till 12:30, then again from 1:30 to 3:30. I am tired today, but it was soo worth it! B. took us into the snowboarding park where we played on rails, boxes and kickers for a while! We had lots of fun there! (and I fell lots! lol) But I did do a bunch of tricks I had no idea I was capable of! So that stoked me right up! :)

Today I am helping out at the Calgary Woman's show, doing a demo of our new Signature Series of classes (Breathe, Force and Step). It should be fun! Then I agreed to go on a date with this guy named Isaac (finally, a name I really like! lol) but I will have to tell him I'm sick, and see if maybe we should postphone the date. I don't want to be coughing all over him! He seems like a really nice guy too. I don't want to turn him off because I'm sick!

I got the JOB!

Yes sir!
They called me yesterday (of course, when I was off sick!) but he called me back early this morning to offer me the position! I ACCEPTED it! Yay!
I'm feeling like he's jumping the gun on when I make the actual move though... they wanted me over by May 1st! And I said, I think the earliest I could move is mid May!
Sounds like we've compromised and I'll be moving on May 10th, and in my new office May 15th. EEK!

Oh well, the change is much needed right now. I'm so unsatisfied with the way things are going in my life right now... I figured I'd shake it up!

I got dumped today (via email, how sweet) by a guy I was seeing from the gym. What the hell?

I appreciate the fact that he was honest with me, but it still doesn't change the fact that rejection sucks and that I'm really loosing faith in ever finding a decent guy that I like that likes me back. :(

The call... ongoing saga

I received a call from the HR lady in charge of my application/interview with the Chad BU. I returned her call this morning. She asked me if she could call my supervisor, to vouch for my performance.
"No problem! But he's on vacation right now!" Yikes! What a rude awakening when he returns to find out I'll be leaving! Oh well... it's my career, looking out for #1! :)

PS. So stoked for boarding on Saturday!!!

Concert? Not!

The "concert" turned more into a small 45 minute jam session of sorts, where DEFAULT played some songs, and people listened.
Kinda lame... but was gorgeous out on the hill! I got some definite sun! :) Yay!
Can't wait to go boarding next weekend!!! It's going to be amazing, as long as the weather holds!

I'm going to see Default today at Sunshine Village :)
My friend D. and I decided just to ride the gondola up and stay for the free concert, instead of paying for a full day lift ticket and then only ski for half a day! (waste of half a lift ticket!!!)

Well, I've cooled off a little at my friend for her bitchiness, however last night she spent the entire evening texting her current boy-toy from where she lives! She paid no attention to us, the girls that she was out with. This girl needs to get her head on straight!!!!!
Like I said before, behaviour like that can guarantee that I never want to hang out with her again!!!

totally PISSED!!!

I am totally pissed at one of my friends right now! She has conducted herself like a total bitch to me!

I was gracious enough to invite her down to stay with me for the weekend, and she proceeds to make dates with guys while she's supposed to be here visiting with me!!! This is not right!

Girls like her make me wanna puke!

I think I need to go throw up!

She will never be invited back here! Count on that!!!!!

New Job?

I met with the team leader of the Chad BU yesterday. He made the opportunity sound very promising. Told me that they were making their final selection today, and that I was on the short list.

Do I stay or do I go if he calls me today??? I'm so undecided!!!!!!!

Last night I went to see my Aunty Donna at the hotel she is staying at. (She's in town for a govn't course.) We ate some Pizza, watched "Deal or No Deal" and "Survivor"! We had a good visit! :)

Seeing Aunty Donna

I got an email from my Aunty Donna that she's going to be in town for a few days, so she asked me if I wanted to have dinner with her one evening! :) "Of course", I said. So we are going to meet tomorrow! I can't wait!

I taught another beading class tonight. It was my Easy Beaded Bead class... I'm getting kinda sick of it. I can't wait to teach the Beaded Heart Pendant again!!! I love that class! Click here to see what that one yeilds.

I'm off to bed...
Oh, before I forget. I got a call regarding the other job. Tomorrow I'm meeting with the team leader of the other group at 1:00pm! Yikes!!! The pressure is on!!!

Looking Different! For Sure!

I took some pictures of myself before I practiced my yoga tonight.

I was noticing that my arms have really gotten a lot smaller and my abs, (WOOT) they are showing!!!! I've not seen them this good, since I weighed 120lbs! (I don't weigh that now! LOL)
(I have scaled my training down to 1 weights class a week, rather then at least 3-4 that I was doing last year. And I'm coupling cardio days (spin classes) with yoga... such a good compliment!)

Anyone else notice anything different?

I'm so bored!

I never say that.
But I have found myself saying that everyday this weekend... I'm going stir crazy! I need something to do!

Tomorrow I go back to work (I got Good Friday AND Easter Monday off as holidays! So it was a 4 day long weekend for me). I can't believe I actually want to go back to work so I won't be so bored.

I did go a friend's place for Easter dinner on Sunday night. It was good, but just reminded me of just how single I am! :( I was the only SINGLE ONE there. I'm really starting to hate this!

Hungry ALL WEEK!

I just can't seem to get enough food this week! Not sure what the problem is? But after 10:00pm I just want to eat more!!! The bad part is that I have been feeding the hunger. At that hour, it's not a good thing to be eating carbs. :( I need to get serious again. (after Easter, and all the chocolate! lol)

Interview went well today. If I hear back in the next week or so, this will be a good sign. They said they want their new candidate to start May 1st! (That's before you start your new job katz!) Crazy times! I guess I really have to sit back and think if I need this job shift at this time. Financially it would probably be a drawback (kinda have to prove myself all over to a new team) but I think it could offer me a lot of fun, new challenges. I'm torn on what to do!

I'll sleep on it ;)

Interview time and a New Window!

That woman called me back re: the job I applied for a few weeks ago. We scheduled my interview for 11:30 tomorrow! It should be interesting. Maybe I should brush up on my South Africa knowledge. LOL (there's not much there to brush up on... I better get reading!)

I also booked my new window install for tomorrow morning. It will be nice to have my car in one piece again!

she got the job she applied for and is MOVING!!!

Finally on the Up and Up!

I'm finally feeling good again! :)
Gotta love good moods!
But it's weird, I'm in a good mood, but I'm exhausted and really hungry tonight!

I got a phone call on Friday regarding a position I applied for a couple weeks ago (within my company). I have to call her back tomorrow to find out if she wants an interview with me. (I assume that's why she called!)
Things are getting interesting again! :)

What a weekend!

Thursday: realize that my car has been broken into... need to clean up glass and close up the new hole.
Thursday Night: Drive to Edmonton for a Dr's Appointment I have scheduled for Friday afternoon.
Friday: Fast all morning because of my dr. appointment... (Gawd, I'm hungry!)
Friday afternoon: Go to Dr. Appointment, only to find out that my Dr. is not in! :( Have to reschedule for 2 months from now :( (Grrrr... I'm starving by now, so I cave for McDonalds! Doh!)
Friday Evening: Go for dinner with my friend katz...MmmmMmmm. Good conversation, good food!
Later Friday Evening: Drive downtown to pick up a friend, then off to see my other friend's new pad in Stoney Plain. Long drive... lucky she is worth it :)
Saturday: Take my brother's out for some shopping. Made the usual stops: Walmart, EB Games, and Warehouse One. Didn't buy anything :)
Saturday afternoon: My bro, his fiance and their new puppy came out to visit. Lola (the new puppy) is a total suck, and loves to curl up on your lap and fall asleep as long as she's being petted! I enjoyed her a lot!
Saturday night: Ate Easter dinner early, because we were all going to be together. Mmmmm... mom said it best when she said "Instant potatoes, Instant Satisfaction" :) LOL
Mom is was fantastic! I wish I could have stuffed more in my belly!!!
Later Saturday night: Met a friend for a drink in Edmonton... he was in town for a hockey tournament.
Sunday morning: slept in hardcore :)
Sunday afternoon: went to Safeway, picked up some lunch and some other groceries for home.
Drove back to Calgary.
Sunday evening: Invited my friend over and we watched a movie and talked! Nice way to end a hectic, chaotic and BUSY relaxing weekend! :)

Bikram Yoga Hotness!

Last night I decided to go for a tan before Bikram yoga class... and I also forgot my water bottle! (Not a good idea to be in that sauna room for an hour and a half without water!!!) So when I got to class I had to buy some water... it was well worth the buck!

But the hotness I'm talking about was this guy in class, standing at the back of the studio. He was about 6'4", tanned and totally ripped! It was hard to concentrate on my own practice because I kept wanting to look at him pose in the mirror! lol (and to make things worse for me, it appeared that his shorts were falling off his hips.... DAMN!)
He sure made the class fun for me! I sweat SOOO freaking much too! Wow! (I guess that's what happens when it's that HOT in there! ;)

Get Bent!

I'm going to attend my very own Bikram Yoga class today. (I got a free pass the last time I went. I really enjoyed it, so I figured why not!)

Last night I went for a run with my girl B. She and I ran our usual trail from Edworthy park to Crowchild trail, under the bridge and back. (~8km) My left knee started to bother me half way through. It sucked! It's still hurting me this morning actually. Hopefully it goes away by tonight.

PS. I burned my arm on my new straightening iron this morning! OUCCCCHHHH!
