Monday!

Hi everyone in BlogLand! Hopefully your weekend was restful and enjoyable!
I had a nice weekend despite the killer kink in my neck that started on Monday and didn't let up till Saturday afternoon! I finally tried Collin's microwaveable neck bean bag on it, and that thing sure did the trick! (I had no idea they worked so well for sore muscles!)

New Computer Day!

So... today is the day my new computer arrives. Don (the owner of the Company) has arrived and is installing the computer into my armoire as I type here. He has asked me to give him 15 minutes alone with my computer (uh oh... what does this tech guy have up his sleeve?) I'm sure there will be something special upstairs for me when he calls me back up. I'll post pictures of the new system once it's all in place and running!

Needing another massage, or something!

Anyone know anything about neck kinks??? I'm still in pain in my neck... even after a 45 minute massage on Wednesday. I feel a bit jipped! I don't know what my neck needs right now to feel better. Rest? I'm getting lots of that. Ice? I will try that today. Maybe Heat!?!? Do you think applying some heat to my neck muscles it will help them hear faster?

Here's hoping I have a better weekend then week that I've been having!

Massages are so 'ahhhhhh'!

I went for my massage today. Why don't I do that more often? MAN, it feels good! (Especially good this time with the neck kink and all) I'm feeling quite a bit less stressed already! And I wished I'd looked into this sooner because little did I know that the gym I go to gives staff rates on masages also!

DAYUM, I feel like I've hit the jackpot! :)

Massive Kink!

The headache I had yesterday turned into a MASSIVE kink in my neck last night. I could barely hold my head up to watch 'Smallville' with Collin last night. I went to bed at 10:30 and I could barely move my head. I woke up this morning and now my whole body hurts. (Collin calls it an "Exercise Hangover"! lol I like that term.)
My neck is still stiff... I wonder what the heck I did to it?

Headachy...

I taught a CardioKick class today at noon, and now I feel really crappy. It started as an Ocular migrane (I've had these before after exercising too early in the morning) and now it's turned into an actual headache. I don't have any Advil or anything to make it go away so I'm tempted to leave work early...

MAZDA 3 locking system a P.O.S.!!!

Seriously, if you are considering buying a Mazda 3, consider this.... Mine has been broken into not once, but TWICE in less then a month! (Yes, again TODAY!) No forced entry, no broken glass, no damage... but a few dents on my drivers side door and a rooted through glove compartment! Theives either have a master key to get into these cars or they know the right way to hit the door in order to trick the computer to think it's been unlocked legitamately with a key or fob.
(which I hear is a BIG problem right now)

This is so UNCOOL that I've decided that I have to get rid of this car. As much as I loved it... it's got a big TARGET on it to thieves (namely the "Mazda 3" name on the bumper). If Mazda doesn't rectify this problem by installing a PROPER lock system in my car, it's as good as SOLD!

My next car definitely WON'T be a Mazda!!!!!

the Armoire has arrived!

I've been really excited about the idea of moving my computer upstairs... and I finally purchased a proper Computer Armoire for it. And it arrived TODAY!

Need a new computer

I thought I just needed a new monitor for my computer so I went out and purchased a gorgeous 19" LCD flat screen. It was gorgeous... only problem was my video card is too old to get the resolution to the right scale... so the picture was kind of fuzzy. ANNOYING!

I decided that for the extra $$$ it would cost to upgrade my video card, I can get a whole new system that will run a helluva lot faster then what I've got now. I've decided to take the plunge and return the monitor and buy a whole new desktop computer... but what spec's am I looking for? I mainly use my computer for word processing, music, photo storage/editting and email/chat/internet.

Any suggestions???

Family Gift Exchange

My Easter weekend was great overall... got to visit with my Grandpa and Grandma from my Mom's side, got to see my brother Joe and he got to meet Collin, and it was great seeing and visiting with all my extended family (Aunts, Uncles and Cousins) which just doesn't seem to happen often enough. We got a bunch of family pictures taken also which will be probably sent out to us in a week or so (my Aunty Carla's sister took them). I didn't take any pictures while I was there... I was too busy visiting. (Jenny, I know Dad got some pics. Ask him to upload them to Flickr for you to see too! You will barely recognize Aunty Marg!!!)

All in all it was a great time, except for Collin... He is soo shy until he starts drinking. He definitely had a LOT too much to drink and he started to act like a complete DICK! He made me pretty upset and we left the party at midnight because he started to get mad that everyome was drinking his diet Coke. (Yeah, pathetic reason to get mad at people you barely know!) So since he was being such a loser I decided to remove him from the scene. I was mad at him because, and I told Collin, "I barely ever get to see these people, and they are my FAMILY! If you have a problem with them, then you have a problem with me!!!" (I'm not sure I'm totally over it yet either.) I just don't understand why he would say some of the things he said, drunk or not!
The next morning he apologized and told me the next time we visit with my family he won't drink. (I think that will be best for everyone involved!)
I hope this is not a red flag that I'm dismissing as a one-time occurence.

What do you think? Is this something that I should make a bigger deal of or was he drinking because he felt uncomfortable around all the strangers?

London Fog's are da bomb!

I asked Collin yesterday "Have you ever had a london fog? I went for one today at 3pm." and he said "No, what's in it? And what are you doing drinking on work time?" thinking it was an alcoholic beverage. HAHA! I said, "Nooo! It's a TEA, silly!"

Mmmmm, they are SOOO good! Steep an Earl Grey tea in half as much water as the cup holds, add two shots of vanilla syrup and top the cup with warm milk (in my case, skim).
Ohhh, sooo good!

Thieves Lurking Downtown!

Last night I was really not in the mood to go out and party, but it was my friend Diane's Birthday and she'll be moving soon, so I felt like I was obliged to go.
The place we started at was her friends condo downtown... the parking was out front of the building in a large gravel lot. I was leery about leaving my car parked there, but I thought I had no other choice.
I think my sixth sense was talking to me because when I came out to go home, I noticed that my car was ramsacked! My glove compartment and console's contens were thrown all over the passenger seat! I was a little confused as there was NO broken glass to be seen though. I soon realized that they stole 4 pairs of glasses, one prescription and 3 pairs of rather cheap sunglasses. That's IT!

I know it could have been worse, and I can't believe that I actually forgot to lock my car... but I think that is how they were able to gain access to my car without me noticing or my alarm going off. Luckily I had my iPod and cel phone with me in my purse... I won't be leaving that shit in my car EVER now that this has happened. I feel so violated!
