OK, you got me! (but, who are You?)

I got an early morning spook, that had me shaking in my boots! (It's not hard to make me scared, but this morning's spook was a little more freaky then spooky.)

The radio station I listen to every morning figured it would be a good idea to have a seance to attempt to revive one or any of the ghosts that seem to be lirking around the city of Calgary. They started their seance and everything was fine... then all of the sudden the radio station went off air, and all we could hear was a bunch of static. I thought "Haha, very funny..." and assumed my radio would come back to normal very quickly. Well, it seemed to be dead air for a very long time, so I walked over to my stereo to see what was the deal.. and I looked and the tuner was set to another station! WTF??!!?
It freaked me out so much, I was literally shaking! I had to put in a CD just to get myself to forget about it!

...Maybe I accidentally bumped the tuner myself... maybe not!?!

How Hippie are you?

Take the test!!

I am a: Faerie-Child
You are 45% experimental, 45% feral,
59% spiritual, and 40% square!

You're a faerie-child. You always stand out from the crowd by the way you dress, but unlike the Feral, not by the way you smell (unless it's the smell of sandalwood, jasmine, and ylang ylang). You're not particularly into free love and mind-expanding substances, but you are a free spirit, who believes that there really are magic and miracles in the world.

The hippie world needs you because you bring a little magic into their lives.

If you believe that opposites attract, you probably find yourself around Ferals. If you are more inclined to enjoy the company of those with similar attitudes, then other Faerie-children, as well as the Alternate, Neopagan, and Mystic are for you.

(I actually agree with these results! I'm a Faerie-Child! Who knew??)

Here comes the SNOW!

Yep, it snowed yesterday... and not just a little bit either, A LOT accumulated! I had to get up early Sunday and drive to my 9:00am bike class and it was not an easy task getting there!
(I was going 20 km/hr at some points! Sketchy, indeed!)

My Element can't handle this weather either (I know... it's an ELEMENT, but I was stupid and only got a 2wd one. Grr... cursing that NOW!) I will be a much happy camper when I get the keys to my Mazda! :) (Mid-December is when they will get my car in)

I have another class tonight, hopfully Collin can drive me though. He drives a big Dodge Ram 3/4 tonne... I feel very safe in his big rig :)
(... glad I don't have to pay for the fuel for the beast though! hehe)

One more sleep till Halloween!!!

November get-away!

Collin confirmed with me last night that he gets the 5 days off in November that he asked for!
Yay! Now we can offically start planning our trip (yes, it will be a road trip) to Nanaimo, B.C. to visit my sister and her family! (I'm sure my niece and nephew have grown so much since I saw them last!)

I really want everyone to meet Collin because I know it's nice to hear or read about someone, but really you never know what someone is like until you actually meet, face to face. (I know this first hand... way to many guys have I met on the internet and thought "Wow, this guy is really interesting" but then once we actually meet for coffee, I realize "Not so much!" LOL)

Jenny, get ready to make some room because we're coming for a visit! (...Hey, it's better then the in-laws just *popping* in for a visit, isnt it? LOL)
FYI... Me and Collin make great babysitters :)

5lbs. of Love?

I have gained 5 pounds since I met Collin.
(He's gained 10 since he met me though! LOL)
I guess you just find yourself eating out a lot more when you actually have someone to eat out with! Also, Collin and I love to cook for each other, and we always make sure our stomachs are fully satisfied before we leave the table. (Collin is well known for eating two servings!)

Since he met me he's lost his "beer belly" and is putting on some "real" weight! LOL (It is true that I have curbed his drinking habits, but I've probably also turned on his eating habits! haha!) It's a 'Rodier' thing... us 'Rodier' women LOVE our food!!!

But you know what? I fell for Collin before he got active and started rollerblading with me, before we started hiking, beer belly and all... that's just how much of an impact he made on me!
So, if gaining 5 pounds is the price I have to pay to feel the way I do now that Collin is in my life... I'll take it!

Buying a new car

I am planning on going in to the Mazda dealership tomorrow and looking into buying a 2006 Mazda 3.

(Well, honestly, I've aready done the looking into... now I actually want to BUY one. But I can't go into the dealership showing all my cards at once, so I've gotta pretend that I'm still unsure. LOL) Does anyone have any buying tips for an inexperienced car buyer like myself?

*****

I'm going to get my iPod Nano tonight.
I have decided on the pink one for now... but once we get there, I might change my mind to the blue one! LOL

Sanyo Katana

I'm the PROUD new owner of the
Sanyo Katana cel phone! :-D
I decided on the white model... it's stylin'. (Looks similar to the Motorola Razr... but apparently this is a better phone overall. I guess I'll find out.)

Just had to tell you! I really like this phone already!
I'm very much a happy camper now! :)

Pink, Blue or Green?

What color of iPod Nano should I get?

Emo Week

I went to my conference this weekend... it really wasn't very impressive! I won't go again next year unless there are some DAMN good presenters. Oh well, at least I got my 4 CEC's (continuing education credits) for my yearly recertification.

I broke down crying on Friday because I was told I couldn't return my cel phone (which I totally HATE!) I need to call the manager tomorrow to get this straightened out because this is BS!

Talked to 2 friends today, each with different emotional (crying) stories to tell me. There must be something wrong with the alignment of the moon or something because it seems like me and all my friends are in emotional states. I hope it all settles down sooner then later though!

Blog more tomorrow! Good Night!

I'm tired but I can't stop!

What a week! And it's not even over!!!
I had a massage from Collin's sister last night (she's actually a certified massage therapist! did I score or what??? LOL) It was pretty nice considering I had just finised a weights class at the gym. (but I woke up and my bum was still sore :(

Tonight we are going to exchange my cel phone. I can't wait to get this peice of crap off my hands and either return to my old celly or get a new one with some features!

Tomorrow I have to wake up even earlier then I usually do (WTF? it's Saturday!) because I've enrolled myself in the Can-Fit-Pro conference... I am enrolled in 5 sessions... I think I will only attend 4 though... I want to do some shopping at the expo too! Hopefully I can find some cute new workout clothes :)

And Sunday is my day to teach bike class at 9:00am at the West Side Rec center. Ughhhhhh... this class is becoming more and more of a pain in my ass then I thought! I hate weekends with no catching up on sleep. (I love my sleeping-in time :)

indecisive

It seems I can never pick something out and get it right the first time... it's like I require a testing period or something to really determine what it is that I want/need.
This happened this year already multiple times:
1) I bought a new bed, and exchanged it a week later for a bigger size;
2) my digital camera, I bought the Fuji FinePix and after a few uses realized it was very inadequate so I returned it for the Casio Exilim (which rocks, BTW!); and
3) my cel phone, I got the Samsung a640... it is very hard for me to use, I hate the ringtones it comes with and the display on the face is very hard to read (and only comes on when the flip is openned) so I'm taking it in today to exchange it for something better.
(no wonder I've earned the title "The return Queen" by many of my friends! LOL)

I have found that I am generally MORE satisfied with something if someone ELSE picks it out for me. Is that weird? Am I just that horrible with choices? (I'll answer that, "YES"! If I find a shirt I like, I buy it in every color because I just can't decide! LOL)
I know, it's a horrible affliction!

Giving Thanks

New Slideshow: Hiking Prairie Mountain.

I have a few videos too, but I don't know how or where to post them.

PS... Thanks Giving dinner with Collin's family was soo much fun! It was also really cool to see the way his family interacts with one another, and where everyone fits in. All I can say is Collin sure has it good! He gets a lot of love from everyone... now I know why he's so lovey to me :) I'm glad I met someone that's not afraid to show his feeling as freely as Collin does!

.... It also made me think that maybe I'm not affectionate enough to the members of my own family. :(

Loving my new mouth!

Unfortunately, tonight I have to go pick up my retainers at the orthodontists office. So my newly freed chompers are going to be restricted once again. I don't anticipate the retainer being such a big deal to wear... but we'll see.

PS... work is buzzzyyyy today! I hate it!
Oh well... keep thinking LONG WEEKEND!!! Mine is a 4 day long weekend (Friday to Monday off :) I love Thanksgiving!
I can't wait to enjoy a meal of turkey and mashed potatoes! (Collin's mom invited me to join them for Thansgiving dinner on Monday! Yay!!!)

My teeth cut like knives now!

Braces are off... see for yourself: braces slideshow :)

I went and got a sub from Subway for lunch and my teeth literaly cut threw the sandwich like knives. It was GREAT! I can eat so fast now! lol... (uh oh, this could be a bad thing.)

I'll be smiling all day, and tomorrow, and the next day! :)

One more sleep :)

Braces come off tomorrow at Noon! :D
Am I excited or what???

I've had these things on since I was 27. (September 8th, 2004 to be exact.) It will be very nice to have free teeth again! :) Free STRAIGHT teeth! I can't wait!
So, what will happen tomorrow is that the braces will come off my teeth, and I will then get moulds made of my teeth so my orthodontist can create my retainers. (I ordered 2; one is the new clear kind (the look like the invisalign trays) and the other is the old-school metal wire kind. I did this because she mentioned that the invisbile plastic kind cover your entire teeth and will get worn and break if you happen to clench or grind your teeth at night.) So, I will wear the clear invisible trays during the day and the metal wire retainer at night.

I will probably be required to wear the retainers for AT LEAST 6 months from when I get them... or until I don't care to have straight teeth. (My orthodontist laughs... "Or until you get married!") ...Considering I did this for me and not for someone else, I'll be the judge of that! ;)

I'm very impressed with what braces have done for my teeth! I can't wait to take a picture of my smile, without the metal!!! :) I will definitely take and post one here tomorrow afternoon!!!!
