A first for me!

Have you ever been made to cry on a date? Well, Tyler managed to make me last night.

We had started to talk about how he likes chick flicks and how I would have never guessed it, by his outward appearance. I said the words "Chick Flick" too loud (apparently) and he yells at me "KEEP IT DOWN!" ... I couldn't believe it! That made me quite upset. So I didn't talk to him for the next 2 minutes. I just sat there stirring my ginger beef up with my chop sticks, fuming. Finally, when I did speak, it just came out in tears. I said "I'm not forcing you to like me... so if you are going to be an asshole, I'll leave!"
He said "It's not that! It's just that when you said Chick Flick that guy from the other table looked over here! I don't want everyone knowing I like Chick Flicks"... I said "News Flash. Your Lavalife profile says you like chick flicks, and it's posted on the internet... Everybody already knows!!!" He felt really bad that I reacted the way I did. But hey, he needs to know when he's acting like a dick. (His words, not mine.)

Why am I giving a guy that is this socially retarded a third chance?????

Date #2

So, I have a second date with a guy I met last week. His name is Tyler. (my ex is named Tyler too! lol) We are going out for asian/ thai food. I suggested it because the atmosphere of the place is wonderful, and I think my date has a weekness for romance! (how many guys can you say that about??)
I'm not sure I should ask out Mr. Dent Repair guy now. I have too many others "on the go"... lol (Who would have thunk I'd be saying that?!?)
This is not like me, but WOW, is it ever a lot of fun!

In the zone, but pimpin' ain't easy!

I watched the Movie "Alfie" tonight. Pretty good movie, reminds me of the state that my life is at at this moment in time... (well, not everything, but there sure were scenes that I could relate to.)
I was called a "cyber slut" by my friend today after I told her I met 33 guys off line in the past 2 years... "CYBER SLUT"? WHA??? Does she even know what that means??? No, I didn't think so. I'll just write her comment off!

I decided to make a list of all the guys I've met off of the internet dating site I use.
I have been on the site for almost 2 years now, so I thought it would be interesting to go through this exercise.

Using my memory, picture folder, and calendar, I concluded that I have met approximately 33 guys in the past 2 years!!! If you divide that into months, that's 2.75 men per month!!! Do I really date 3 guys per month???
Who knew my life was soooo damn interesting!!! :)

the flu

I stayed home today. Feeling hot, cold and achy all over! :( Barely got a wink of sleep last night, waking up every hour.

Blah, and a sore throat to boot! What am I going to do with myself?

Had better days

I woke up today with a serious kink in my neck and a sore throat! Blahhh... does that signal a flu coming on? I tried to massage that kink out in the shower, but what I really needed was the 2 extra strength Advil that I decided to take :)

I have to teach 2 classes today, so it was going to be really hard to sub them out at such short notice... so I decided I had to suck it up and teach... I'm not feeling up to teaching Group POWER tonight :(

On gooder news, the cute guy at the Dent place said I could come by later tonight, past business hours, to come get my car. I think if I flirt with him enough, I could work a date out of the deal. I mean, who suggests a client could come in after hours like that? There was some tension when I first brought my Elle in too... Hmmm... could be interesting! I'm a dating machine when I want to be!!! :)

Back to dating...

Well, yes, I knew this weekend was going to be pretty boring (without my car and no plans) so I decided to make a date :) It has been a while since I was out on a date, so I figured lets change that.
I met Kyle on the computer a few days ago and we hit it off on MSN! He's not my usual jock type. Actually more the artsy type, but I thought, why not give him a chance.
All I can say is "Finally, I have met a guy that knows how a woman wants to be treated!"
He took me to Open Sesame, an Asian fusion restaurant. (yes, he came to pick me up in his Mini Cooper) We waited for a table for 1/2 an hour! We made small talk and wandered around till our table was open. When we sat down, he ordered me a glass of wine, and let me choose my meal. I ordered the Ginger Beef Rice Bowl. Mmmmm MMmmm! The food was super! (I want to go back for more!) He was a real gentleman, pulling out my chair, and tucking me into the table. (I wasn't even sure what to do! lol) It was a great meal, with awesome company! (He looks a little like Mattew McConaughey... pretty fricken sweet, if you ask me!)

I totally want to see him again. The only problem is, he's 27 and only in his 2nd year of University... and still lives with his father.
Hmmm... are my standards too high???

The lights are on but there's no one home

Sometimes that's how I think people see us single people. They don't ask us to do things cause we don't have a partner to complete a foursome. We are the third wheel :( No one likes to be that wheel or have a third wheel tag along.

So, my weekend revolves around ME. Hmmm... what should I do? I want to go snowboarding, but I'm still nursing that hammy pull, so I think I should take it easy for a while.

Everyone enjoy the beautiful weather (it's +12degrees Celcius today!!! WOWie! Unheard of for this time of year. I'll take it!)

I think I've pulled my right Hamstring... it hurts pretty bad, I haven't been letting it heal, I'm making it worse! I'm taking today completely off, I need to rest it.
So, I am now without a vehicle for the next few days :( Hope I survive without it! I think I should be fine. I've made sure not to schedule anything that I needed to drive to for the next couple days.

What else is new? OH! I am lonely at home these days. I've started reading "the Hooking Up Handbook"... oh, the joys of being a single female.

Body Hurts ALL OVER!

Yep, it has caught up to me. Playing badminton, then working out twice in one day, for two days in a row.
I am in serious need of a massage! I tried the hot bath last night, and it didn't really do it for me, but MAN I had a great sleep! (besides the dream about the severed heads! WTF??? Where did THAT visual come from!!??)

Bringing my hail damaged Element in to get the dents removed tonight. YAY! Finally!

Badminton cramps!

I played a sport that I haven't played in a YEAR last night... Badminton.
It was so much fun! I forgot how fun playing a sport against someone is (mountain biking is you vs. yourself, most of the time)

But even only 20 minutes into it, I could feel my muscles saying "Hey... what are we doing? This isn't mountain biking, or weight lifting! It feels weird, and I don't like it!" LOL
Yup, they were getting sore fast, and this morning I had to roll myself out of bed! HA. What a sight!

I am going to be in the same shape tomorrow morning, as I agreed to go climbing with my friend Bryanne tonight (something I haven't done in months!)

Good times! My body must love me :)

Back from Yankieville

Yep, I'm back! This past week, I went to Montana with my girlfriend, for some shopping. It was good, and the change of scenery was great!

I picked up some gifts and a few fun things for myself.
I love Target! They sell some wicked sports wear for SUPER cheap... even after the exchange rate!!!

I will blog more later. Right now I need to rest and put away all my new things! :)
