Happy Birthday DADDY!

My dad is 60 today! WOW!!! I can't believe he's that old already!!! (This is a self portrait he took of himself when he was working up North.) Yup, I got the camera bug from him! (that and a few other traits: saving money, cleanliness, talking alot to the point of being annoying... HAHAHA! Couldn't resist!)

Daddy, you really did teach me soo many great lessons in life that I can't even express how much I thank you!!! For being a great family supporter (even when you had to go up North, leaving your wife and kids back at home, you did what you had to to make sure we were housed, fed, clothed, nurtured, and loved!) for teaching me the value of money (I had a bank account as soon as I can remember, and my Dad would take us down to the Bank on the weekend and allow us to deposit our allowance into our account at a real bank teller!) for allowing us to play many different sports (My Dad allowed us to explore our athletic side. He always took us to the ponds to skate in the winter and then to the ball games we had in the summer! ... until I was able to ride my bike there myself :) and for your constant support and always believing in your children!

Dad, you are amazing! I love you... we all love you!!!

Gearing up for Vacation!!!

I'm getting really excited for my vacation! Only 2 more days of work, then I get a couple days to pack and prepare for my flight! :) Yay! I really think my body will thank me for this down time.

Also, I'm excited to help my sister prepare Paige's birthday party! (She turns 5 on May 18th, but I'll be getting there May 20th, so she decided she could have a late birthday party in order for her auntie to be there to celebrate too! What a doll!) It will be so much fun!

I also can't wait to do yoga everyday with Paige, and to help Noly play with his trains (or whatever he's into now)! Just spending time with my niece and nephew are way up there on my priorities list of things to do on this vacation! (Oh, also I'm going to bring my kit of beads... and maybe make a few necklaces... I've been really eager to make some projects for ME!)

I am back in Calgary from my team event in Kananaskis! It was fun, but I'm glad it's over. I was missing my babaganoush! LOL (that's what Collin and I call each other) (For pics of the event, see my Flickr--->)

Yes, today is his 29th birthday! Woot! He has invited a bunch of his friends out for dinner tonight, so it should be a good time... I just hope he doesn't drink too much. But you know guys, and how they are with birthdays... "Here' have another drink!" I guess I'll probably end up being his babysitter again! I guess that's the girl friend's job, right?

On Sunday his Mom is going to be making a special birthday dinner (complete with CAKE!) so I'm really looking forward to that! I will have to pace myself with the meal though because I really just want the cake! LOL (Yes, I'll try to be a good girl... but it's hard! Her cakes are SOO DAMN GOOD!)
