YAHOO! Stampede week is HERE!
Happy day after Canada Day, ya'll! We didn't go out to any fireworks last night... I was pretty pooped and Collin was passed out by 10:00pm, as usual! (I'm glad I got to bed early for a change though... it makes waking up at 6:00am so much easier!!!)
For those of you that aren't aware of Calgary culture, Stampede week is starting this Friday! YAHOO! (Well, yahoo for eating and drinking... not yahoo for my weight loss goals!) I already have a double header cheat day planned for this weekend; friday night we are off to the Chuckwagon races and Saturday we have been invited to a Stampede Lunch at Ranchmans. I think I will just eat right and try NOT to cheat other then when I am actually at these events... otherwise I'm going to feel like a BIG SACK OF POOP by the time MY work rodeo function occurs (on Tuesday, July 8th). I want to be able to enjoy myself there!!!
I have been exercising like clock-work these days... It was great to have a 5 day weekend, it gave me time to come out of the fitness rut and into something new! I have started rollerblading again, and MAN it feels good! I strap on my HRM, my iPod and my pads and away I go! (I know I should be wearing a helmet too... I will put on my bike helmet next time I go... PROMISE :) I took Collin around the Glenmore Resevoir yesterday (despite the crappy weather looming) and we had a really great time! One of my wheels decided to pretty much STOP rolling so that made it a little more dificult returning to the car, but overall we had a good workout! I need to learn how to clean out my wheel bearings! (jenny... do you remember how?)
I'm pretty STOKED about todays weigh-in. This morning I'm feeling lighter then ever... I'll update you on that soon!
